Lecture 2: Node View & Basic Rigging Nodes
- Introduction to the Node View.
- Understanding the essential nodes for Rigging:
- Line Art
- Color Art
- Overlay
- Underlay
- Introduction to Peg.
- Understanding Composition.
- Using the Cutter node.
Lecture 3: Timeline & Keyframes
- Introduction to the Timeline.
- Adding and editing Keyframes.
- Understanding the nature of animation in Toom boom harmony
Lecture 4: Advanced Animation Tools
- Working with Deformers.
- Understanding Constraints.
- Exploring Advanced Animation Tools.
- Using the Library.
- Applying Drawing Substitution.
Lecture 5: Rigging the Head
- Importing the Model Sheet from all angles (front, 3/4, side, back, 3/4 back).
- Preparing and separating head elements (eyes, mouth, eyebrows, hair).
- Building a full Head Rig.
Lecture 6: Rigging the Torso & Arms
- Preparing torso and arm drawings from multiple views.
- Creating the internal rig for the arms (Shoulder – Elbow – Wrist).
Lecture 7: Rigging the Legs & Pelvic Area
Dividing the leg into parts (Hip – Knee – Ankle – Foot).
Creating a complete Leg Rig.
Connecting the pelvic area with the rest of the body.
Lecture 8: Master Control
- Designing the Master Control for the character.
- Connecting all body parts to the Master Control.
- Testing character control for efficiency.
Lecture 9: Finalizing the Rig
- Reviewing and connecting all body rigs (Head – Torso – Arms – Legs).
- Fixing deformation and rigging issues.
- Saving the final rig for animation use.
Lecture 10: Starting Character Animation
Editing keyframes for smooth motion.
Importing the fully rigged character.
Adding basic Poses to the Timeline.
Using the rig for head, body, and limb movement.
Lecture 11: Advanced Animation & Library Usage
- Adding advanced posing to the character.
- Adjusting and modifying the rig during animation.
- Adding drawings to the Library and reusing assets.
- Creating a short animation test.
Lecture 12: Visual Effects & Compositing
- Exploring Visual Effects (VFX) in Toom boom harmony
- Using Toom boom harmony for Compositing and scene assembly.
- Creating Camera Movements.
- Working with Lighting Effects.
- Animating light-based effects (Glow, Rays, etc.).
- Introduction to Rendering in Toom boom harmony
Lecture 13: Final Project – Character Design & Rigging
- Dividing students into groups (2–3 members).
- Each group designs their own character.
- Applying full rigging to the custom character.
- Discussing rigging problems and solutions.
Lecture 14: Final Project – Character Animation & Presentation
- Animating the rigged characters with posing and movements.
- Applying short animation shots.
- Reviewing errors and improvements.
- Presenting final projects.
- Closing the course and feedback.
